Uniform Regulations

All officers are issued uniforms prior to beginning work. The uniform consists of a clean and pressed uniform shirt and blue slacks, black shoes and socks, a black belt, name tag, and badge. Only issued shirts are allowed under the uniform shirt. Coats other than a uniform coat are not allowed. Jeans of any kind are not acceptable. SecuritySmart Solutions, LLC provides the shirts, pants, coat, and badge. Please keep in mind if you are wearing a uniform coat, the badge must be worn on the coat. A representative in your local office can recommend a store where name tags may be purchased. All officers are expected to clean and maintain their uniforms. If a uniform should be damaged due to negligence of the officer, the officer will be responsible for the replacement cost. If a uniform should start to look faded or worn from normal use, please bring it in to your local office and a new one will be issued. Uniforms are not to be worn when off duty. If you must stop somewhere on your way home or to work, please change into another shirt. Failure to observe this policy will result in termination. Jewelry is not allowed with the exception of wedding or engagement rings.

Grooming

Good hygine and grooming are required of all officers. All employees should arrive for work clean and wearing a clean uniform. Men should be clean-shaven and hair should be neatly combed. Men's hair should be cut above the collar. Women with hair long enough to be pulled back should do so. Proper deodorants/antiperspirants are a must. Please keep colognes and perfumes light.
